The Personality Characteristics of the Gemini Man and Woman

Those born under Gemini can be fickle and superficial. This is their dark side. Confronting this part of the Gemini personality can be of the utmost importance.

Fickleness and superficiality are traits that generally accompany a certain general lack of intellectual curiosity. In short, sometimes Geminis do not value "book" knowledge as highly as the other signs. Furthermore, some obsess over things that appear to be meaningless to others. This is the dark side of a Gemini's personality, but it is not limited to just Geminis. Individuals born under astrology signs other than Gemini who have these types of personality traits could make use of this advice.

Gemini Personality

The Gemini personality prototype is quite common, even to other signs. Often, they deride "book smarts" in favor of "street smarts." They enjoy scrutinizing what appear to be trivial details in people's appearances or in the way people walk or talk. Many enjoy "people watching," and enjoy poking fun at whatever they view as the passing people's flaws. This disdain of others and disdain of knowledge is often defensive in nature. Many Geminis feel hurt by others, and wish to hurt them back. Others had bad experiences with school or with people they see as smarter than themselves, and wish to attack the very concept of higher intelligence itself.

The Gemini Man

The Gemini man may express his superficial nature differently than the Gemini woman. He may enjoy sports, or other more physical and less intellectual activities. The Gemini man may try to hide his insecurity about his intellect behind a facade of false bravado and macho masculinity.

The Gemini Woman

The Gemini woman may be obsessively interested in her looks, or in the appearances of others. She may have problems with body image and subject herself to lots of different fad diets. Both the Gemini man and the Gemini woman may forsake real relationships for flings that they know won't go anywhere. This fear of a serious relationship may be related to a general fear of the other person knowing the real them. The Gemini woman will also take great pains to hide the parts of herself she does not like from others.

Gemini Love

Gemini love and romance may be complicated by the fact that many of them feel the urge to be fickle. Some are prone to quickly ending relationships, or engaging in activities they know will end relationships. Some Geminis even feel the urge to cheat on their significant other. This feeling is often brought on by the classic "you can't love anyone until you learn to love yourself" problem. Like the Virgo, who hides her lack of confidence in herself behind her perfectionist drive, the Gemini often hides their lack of self esteem in an aversion to closeness with others and a reject of their qualities. Similar to the problems often experienced by the Scorpio, the Gemini's distrust of others can sabotage otherwise healthy relationships.

Many Geminis, as well as individuals of other signs, reject certain kinds of thought and close ties to others. They seek the superficial qualities in people and in relationships because they feel that this is where they can thrive. Only through learning to trust and admire themselves can they learn to feel this way about others as well.

whoa. whoever wrote this needs to do a bit more research.. lack of intellectual curiousity? reading is one of my favorite hobbies. I love learning about different subjects. I may get bored easily and jump from topic to topic, but when I find something I love, I completely envelope myself in it.

OMG you are seriously one of the most negatively centered persons who give readings about Geminis you have it so wrong Geminis are the most Intellectual and Communicative sign on this planet and we can be shy but thats when our opposite twin is present we are usually the life of the party and we are always looking to make new friends we are good natured and friendly, if you give another reading about Geminis YOU BETTER INCLUDE THE TRUE AND UNIQUE QUALITIES AND NOT JUST DO THE DARK SIDE OR OUR OTHER TWIN!

I totally Agree with Guest number 2 I'm a Gemini I do get bored easily form things but once I scencerly get interested in soemthing I do my best to know everything about it and don't get bored of it that easily.I do hate details but. Geminies are not stupid lack of self-esteem? not really anyways why do I Bother lol i don't even believe in those things just like reading the trais of sings. Everyone listen, every individual is unique and got intellegence. It is up to you to make things work or reach your goals there is no such thing that could explain how you are as an individual unless you want to see a psychologist. LOL and you still ask who creates stereo-typs WE ARE IN 21 CENTURY PEOPLE. USE YOUR BRAINS.

however, the biggest problem with gemini's dark side is that they can be truly ruthless and unrelenting.
they are good manipulators, tricksters, and are very cunning.
the bad side of a gemini should be avoided.
giving them plenty of space when their personalities swith is crucial.
one second they could be a saint, the next, truly, the devil himself.

Wow, this doesn't even scratch the surface on how shallow and immature gemini's can be.
I have never in my life have met an "Evolved" gemini that doesn't lie, cheat, steal, screw everyone, destroy their relationships, think they are the greatest in bed, yadda yadda yadda...
Don't ever date or be emotionally tied to a gemini. They will carve out your heat and give the best pieces to everyone else!LOL!

I guess this is a prime example of not understanding the gemini personality. We have a bad reputation only because most people cannot figure us out and how can u because we are forever changing. Sometimes change is good, but 2 get to know us takes time and patience; which is one thing alot of people lack.

This article is so true...at least from my point of view because my boyfriend is a Gemini. I feel that his self-steem is low but he puts a front by trying to buy expensive things and he is forever trying to cheat...I said trying because I always catch him lol. Im a virgo so I guess it will never work between us.
